The Story Behind the Name

Being based here in Chattanooga, most people naturally assume we named the firm after Lookout Mountain. While it’s a beautiful view, our name actually comes from a much deeper place. Mountaintop Wealth was inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final speech and the legacy of the civil rights movement. We built this firm with one clear purpose: to help families find true financial freedom and reach their own version of the mountaintop.

How we work for you.

We’re a flat-fee firm, which is a bit different from the traditional “big bank” model. Whether you need a one-time recommendation, a comprehensive financial plan, or full-scale investment management, you pay a transparent fee for our expertise—not a hidden commission.

We never accept kickbacks or commissions from banks or insurance companies. We chose this path so you can breathe easy knowing our advice is based on what’s best for your family, not what earns us a sales bonus.

We don’t work alone; we strengthen the client experience by having a strong network of high-quality partners that are experts in their field and utilize tools that make our clients ‘ lives easier.

Meet Roland.

My path here began with a middle school stock investment competition, an accounting degree, the United States Air Force, followed by over a decade in the financial services industry. As an Air Force veteran and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional, I try to bring a mix of service and genuine empathy to every conversation.

I believe in showing up for my community. Whether it’s working with the VITA tax program at the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga, working with my brothers in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, or talking about financial literacy in the local media. I’m passionate about helping people get ahead.

When I’m not in the office, I’m usually trying to keep up with my 16-year-old son or catching a show like Severance, From, or Game of Thrones with my wife, Kesha. I know firsthand how fast these high school years go by, and I’d love to help your family make the most of them.
